< What We Do

You have a vocation from God.

If you already know what it is, pray to be faithful.

If you are still searching, pray to hear God’s voice and to respond generously.

All those who are baptised are called to ministry, whether that is lay or ordained. The Church needs a wide variety of ministers in order to serve all people. Ministers are from all ages and come from all walks of life, backgrounds and education.

The Anglican Church Southern Queensland is an exciting place to begin, continue or restart the Christian journey. Our values are based in scripture, tradition and reason. Through these we endeavour to explore what it means to be a follower of Christ in today’s world. We invite you to take the next step in your faith journey to consider your vocation or ‘calling’.

are you thinking about your life’s direction?

All those seeking to explore vocation in its many and varied forms are welcome to join us at St Francis Theological College for Seekers Day.

You will hear from people in all walks and stages of vocational discernment, both lay and ordained. All are welcome to come, seek and maybe even find your next step on the journey!

You may be feeling excited, anxious, uncertain or inadequate, but the Holy Spirit will lead, prepare and equip you as you grow your faith. The way forward comes through trusting in God, others and yourself.
